Today we... did a journaling activity about 'Every Child Matters' and 'I matter because..." , had an assembly about the Acknowledging the Land', wrote about where we feel most connected to the land, played multiplication BUMP using the 2x table, read a story called 'This is how I know' and discussed how we know each season is coming, and we learned about the science terms biodegradable and non-biodegradable.

UPDATES: It is National Truth and Reconciliation Week, Thursday is Orange Shirt Day and our Grade 4 assembly starting at 2:00pm.  No school Friday.

 Today we... did a literacy activity where we counted phonemes, worked on our design and build challenge, played a math game skip counting by 5s, completed a check-in to see how we are doing with using multiplication and division strategies, used ChromeBooks to access a resource about the regions of Alberta, and did a journaling activity practicing listening and describing images on the Smartboard. UPDATES & REMINDERS: With Halloween just around the corner, p lease don’t send whole class treats to hand out as we have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies and sanitization expectations makes this a challenging practice.

 Today we... played a literacy game called synonym match up, discussed what 'Talk Moves' are and practiced how to use them, read from our novel 'A Whale of the Wild', found increasing and decreasing patterns using money, did a Google Classroom activity where we had to put the provinces and territories back together using an online puzzle, and we had music.   UPDATES & REMINDERS:  A note went home today regarding a board-game club... if your child is interested, please sign and return the form ASAP.  Please bring in donations for the Terry Fox Run which will be held this Friday.  Fun Lunch is this Wednesday!
