Today we... made a clay creation to represent an event we did on the weekend, wrote a 'quick write' story based on a writing prompt, had music to practice our songs for the winter concert, played a place value game of war, attempted a math challenge called Pascal's Triangle, learned about water pollution and did an experiment to represent what happens when water is polluted, and we had another music class to practice our songs for the concert again.

Reminders & Updates:  Parent/teacher conferences are this week (Thursday evening and Friday during the day).  No school Friday due to conferences.

 Today we... did a literacy activity where we counted phonemes, worked on our design and build challenge, played a math game skip counting by 5s, completed a check-in to see how we are doing with using multiplication and division strategies, used ChromeBooks to access a resource about the regions of Alberta, and did a journaling activity practicing listening and describing images on the Smartboard. UPDATES & REMINDERS: With Halloween just around the corner, p lease don’t send whole class treats to hand out as we have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies and sanitization expectations makes this a challenging practice.

 Today we... played a literacy game called synonym match up, discussed what 'Talk Moves' are and practiced how to use them, read from our novel 'A Whale of the Wild', found increasing and decreasing patterns using money, did a Google Classroom activity where we had to put the provinces and territories back together using an online puzzle, and we had music.   UPDATES & REMINDERS:  A note went home today regarding a board-game club... if your child is interested, please sign and return the form ASAP.  Please bring in donations for the Terry Fox Run which will be held this Friday.  Fun Lunch is this Wednesday!
