Today we... created and shared something that made us think of peace using play-dough,  worked on finishing our colour poems, read from A Whale of the Wild, played multiplication BUMP, practiced and reviewed how to tell time on an analog clock, discussed the importance of eye safety when doing experiments related to light, did an experiment proving that light travels in a straight line, and we learned about different types of landforms.

UPDATES & REMINDERS - No school this Friday (PD day), please bring an adult white sock and patterned sock (we will start the activity tomorrow), and grade 5 students are collecting donations for the Mustard Seed.

 Today we... did a literacy activity where we counted phonemes, worked on our design and build challenge, played a math game skip counting by 5s, completed a check-in to see how we are doing with using multiplication and division strategies, used ChromeBooks to access a resource about the regions of Alberta, and did a journaling activity practicing listening and describing images on the Smartboard. UPDATES & REMINDERS: With Halloween just around the corner, p lease don’t send whole class treats to hand out as we have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies and sanitization expectations makes this a challenging practice.

 Today we... played a literacy game called synonym match up, discussed what 'Talk Moves' are and practiced how to use them, read from our novel 'A Whale of the Wild', found increasing and decreasing patterns using money, did a Google Classroom activity where we had to put the provinces and territories back together using an online puzzle, and we had music.   UPDATES & REMINDERS:  A note went home today regarding a board-game club... if your child is interested, please sign and return the form ASAP.  Please bring in donations for the Terry Fox Run which will be held this Friday.  Fun Lunch is this Wednesday!
