Today we... discussed what we would do if we had $100, continued working on our shape (concrete) poems, rated 'A Whale of the Wild', played multiplication BINGO, learned how to divide numbers by 10, 100, and 1000, did an experiement related to shadows and why they are different sizes depending on the time of day, and we had music with Ms. Bohan.

UPDATES & REMINDERS:  Report cards are available online tomorrow.  The social studies Alberta regions assignment is due on Thursday, February 1st.  Instructions for the assignment can be found in our Google Classroom.

 Today we... did a literacy activity where we counted phonemes, worked on our design and build challenge, played a math game skip counting by 5s, completed a check-in to see how we are doing with using multiplication and division strategies, used ChromeBooks to access a resource about the regions of Alberta, and did a journaling activity practicing listening and describing images on the Smartboard. UPDATES & REMINDERS: With Halloween just around the corner, p lease don’t send whole class treats to hand out as we have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies and sanitization expectations makes this a challenging practice.

 Today we... played a literacy game called synonym match up, discussed what 'Talk Moves' are and practiced how to use them, read from our novel 'A Whale of the Wild', found increasing and decreasing patterns using money, did a Google Classroom activity where we had to put the provinces and territories back together using an online puzzle, and we had music.   UPDATES & REMINDERS:  A note went home today regarding a board-game club... if your child is interested, please sign and return the form ASAP.  Please bring in donations for the Terry Fox Run which will be held this Friday.  Fun Lunch is this Wednesday!
