Today we... had a guest reader, Ashley from TOPP Kids, read us a few of her favourite stories, worked on our activity related to the story 'The Collector of Heads', read from A Wolf called Wander, continued to practice finding equivalent fractions, and researched and sketched 4 plants that are native to Alberta.

UPDATES & REMINDERS: Tomorrow is pajama day.  Read-a-thon pledges and forms are due next week.  Parent/teacher conferences are next Thursday and Friday.  The last day for students before Spring Break is March 21, and school resumes on Tuesday, April 2.

 Today we... did a literacy activity where we counted phonemes, worked on our design and build challenge, played a math game skip counting by 5s, completed a check-in to see how we are doing with using multiplication and division strategies, used ChromeBooks to access a resource about the regions of Alberta, and did a journaling activity practicing listening and describing images on the Smartboard. UPDATES & REMINDERS: With Halloween just around the corner, p lease don’t send whole class treats to hand out as we have many students with dietary restrictions, allergies and sanitization expectations makes this a challenging practice.

 Today we... played a literacy game called synonym match up, discussed what 'Talk Moves' are and practiced how to use them, read from our novel 'A Whale of the Wild', found increasing and decreasing patterns using money, did a Google Classroom activity where we had to put the provinces and territories back together using an online puzzle, and we had music.   UPDATES & REMINDERS:  A note went home today regarding a board-game club... if your child is interested, please sign and return the form ASAP.  Please bring in donations for the Terry Fox Run which will be held this Friday.  Fun Lunch is this Wednesday!
